Tokyo Marathon Trip: part 3

Just to keep you in tab with what's been going on, here's Part 1 and Part 2.

And this is the last part of the 3 Part Tokyo Adventure. Let's get to it!

Day 4 - March 4, 2019

The day after the race. It was still raining all day today and super cold. The temperature says 6 degree, but it felt more like 3 degrees! With the rain and wind, we just didn't feel like walking out and about.. so we decided to stay indoor.

What's the best thing to do in Tokyo during rainy day? Spend endless hours at the Tokyo Station. Go to the Yaesu Exit and you'll find an array of shops and restaurants. They have a floor specifically selling all kinds of Japanese anime characters knick knacks. My husband and I got stuff for our youngest there rather than going to Kiddyland. They have everything at the Tokyo Station.

We had lunch at this random sushi train restaurant. So delicious. Once the rain subsides a bit, we made our way to Yodobashi Akihabara to buy Nintendo switch game for our eldest. He's a big boy now, so I guess no more kiddy toys. By the way, there's a donut shop there that is SO DELICIOUS called Jack in the Donuts. You should definitely give it a try when you visit Tokyo. I highly recommend it.

We had early dinner at this pancake shop called The French Toast Factory. They sell fluffy Japanese pancakes which I find so so so yummy. Afterwards we head back to the hotel, which concludes our day. And wow. The rain still hasn't stopped.

Day 5 - March 5, 2019

Woke up to a beautiful sunny day! Since its such a perfect weather day, we planned on going to Shirohige's Cream Puff Factory, without knowing that they're actually closed every Tuesday. What a bummer! So we make a detour to Yoyogi Park instead in search of Sakura trees.

Lo and behold, once we got to Yoyogi Park, there were already a few Sakura trees blooming! So beautiful. After strolling around the park, we walk all the way to Shibuya, making a few pit stops here and there: Meiji Shrine, Takeshita Dori, etc.. we had lunch at this sukiyaki place very randomly but very popular amongst the Japanese (no, it's not Yoshinoya). We spent most of the day shopping and walking everywhere.

We had coffee at the Blue Bottle in Aoyama, and then continued on our shopping spree to Shibuya Centre Gai. We had dinner at this yakitori place called Torikizoku, which was absolutely delicious.

By the end of the day, we're tired and shopped out. So let's call it a day.

Day 6 - March 6, 2019

Last day in Tokyo. We checked out at around 12pm but our flight wasn't until later in the evening. So we went back to Tokyo Station because my husband wanted to do some "photoshoot". We had lunch at Subway and Wise Sons. Then we spend the rest of the day around Ginza area, doing some last minute shopping and errands.

At 6.30pm we took the taxi to the airport.

And that concludes our Tokyo Adventure.

Until our next adventure!
