We Clean Up Good

We dressed up for my cousin's wedding two weeks ago. I thought we cleaned up pretty good if I do say so myself. A big congratulations to my cousin, Megumi and her new husband, Bobby. May you both live happily ever after!

School Pick Up

I am normally not the kind of mom who would dress up to perfection when it comes to school pick up. Heck, I'm the kind of mom who would just roll out of bed, brush my teeth, wash my face, brush my hair, wore my workout clothes, and I'm out the door for school drop off.

But sometimes, I still like to look presentable every so often. Like yesterday, I had to pick up my kids from school. So I put on my knee length baby blue skirt for a change (instead of my usual jeans) with a simple white tee. And to keep it casual I pair my ensemble with my neutral coloured Vans sneakers. To add a bit of chic-ness, I took my vintage cream Chanel bag out for the day. To top things off, doing the #evachenpose while waiting for my kids to come out from school.

On the Hunt

I was on the hunt for the perfect high-waisted trousers that are straight cut, slightly cropped to perfection and not black. While I was browsing through Zara's website, I stumbled upon the above trousers! I fell in love. I wasn't really sure about the sizing, so I just wing it. I bought it and waited about a week for my Zara package to arrive. When it finally came, OMG, it was perfect! From the fit, the color and the style. They are no longer available though, so I can't put any link for it. And my only regret is: Man, I should've bought two of them.

Vintage Dior

One of the greatest perks of having a fashionista as a mother are all the fabulous vintage designer pieces hand-me-downs that I get to enjoy as the only daughter. This one has got to be one of my favourites (among the sea of vintage designer purses and other well made clothing items): a beautiful Christian Dior see through blouse that I can dress up or down. Here I pair it with my favourite black skinny jeans from ASOS.

Eid Mubarak

Chasing the golden hour because the lighting is just superb. Also, Summer is almost arriving. I think this white eyelet top from Zara and a mini denim skirt is perfect to welcome the season.

Summer Vibes

Summer vibes to me is enjoying the cool breeze and warm weather in my backyard. While chasing the gorgeous golden hour obviously.

Military Jumpsuit

I am currently loving the whole military-inspired jumpsuit look. The one I'm wearing is from H&M. They're perfect and won't break your bank. Also I think they're super versatile to be dressed up or down. H&M currently have many variety of military-inspired jumpsuit styles that I think worth checking out. 

French Bob | White Frills

I got a haircut over the weekend. The cut that has been haunting me in my dreams for the past week or two. I've been obsessing over this French bob hair style and finally pluck up the courage to get it done after consulting with my stylist over the phone. I am so in love with this new hair! Another exciting thing? I got this new top from my good friend Monique who owns the label alex[a]lexa and I am obsessed!

Vintage Wings

I was rummaging through my jewellery box the other day, and found a hidden gem that I haven't touched for years! It's a vintage gold angel wings necklace that I got at a vintage store in Sydney, Australia, many years ago. I'm pretty good with my stuff, so it's still in its original shape that I bought them. The chain is a bit too long for my liking, so I might do something about it.

Fashion Friday: Oversized Blazer

I'm very into oversized blazer for quite a while now. This one from Zara is just perfect and its pretty affordable too considering how well made it is. I like to pair them with a plain white t-shirt and denim skirt or a black high waisted skinny jeans (as shown in the above picture). It elevated casual to chic.

Fashion Friday: Neutrals

I'm currently really into a lighter neutrals such as white, tan, light brown and (of course) taupe. I haven't been confident enough to pull off an all white ensemble because I always thought it might accentuate my far from perfect body flaws. But as I got older, I have come to terms with my 'flaws' and the beauty of it.

All in the Taupe

Other than Black and White, the Taupe color family is another favorite of mine. I love how it looks 'different' yet neutral at the same time. I'm loving my current collection of taupe fashion items: Chanel classic flap bag (thanks, Mom!), Chanel Boy bag and my new Vans Old Skool SK8.

Quay x Desi "Don't @ Me" sunglasses

I love sunglasses. I love classic sunglasses style that stand the test of time. I know what I like, I know what suits me, and I stick to it. I've had accumulated a collection of sunglasses, which I'm proud to say can be considered as classic timeless pieces. They've stand the test of time. I don't go around buying one just because they're on trend.

To add to my 'timeless' family of sunglasses, I recently purchased Quay Australia's sunglasses in collaboration with one of my favorite beauty blogger, Desi Perkins. Desi has been collaborating with Quay Australia for a while now and has been coming out with so many amazing collection of sunglasses. However, none have really tickled my fancy. The reason is mainly because I don't think the other designs really suited my face shape and style. And then, they came out with Quay x Desi "Don't @ Me" sunglasses (see photo above)! They're so beautiful and fit my aesthetic to perfection. They come in two colors: black and white. Of course I had to get both. And may I add, I was not disappointed! They've easily become my everyday go-to sunglasses no matter where I'm going. They are super comfortable, lightweight and oh so chic.
